Haha. It's just like the song. Still though, at least you finally got to see her naked. Who is she?

I hate it when people don't check facts, like the one about Coke being responsible for Santa... 8) (it's not true!!!)

Four months on from its release, I still enjoy dipping in to HTTT. It's worth having and hearing. Bung it on the iPod and skip the duff tracks.

I saw it last night and loved it. Looking forward to Kill Bill Vol2. You can get into a circular argument along the lines of "Should the White Album have been a single instead of a double" it doesn't matter, it is what it is. I had a whale of a time in the cinema last night, I'd avoided a ...

You Bowed Down can't be about Macca's Knighthood because the song predates it.

Best to assume it's about Bruce T or something else. It always seemed like Poisoned Letter was written in a white hot fit of pique and about BT, All The Rage was probably the afterthought or reflection on the song.

The beard clip, where EC sings "Georgia.... Georgia" looks older than 1990, I could be wrong. I'd say 1985. And I've just realised that Happy Gilmore came on after the show. "I eat pieces of shit like you for breakfast" "You eat shit for breakfast?" I'm guessing everyon...

That was very funny. Where did the clip of EC with the beard come from? Has anyone got any good EC stuff on video? We should encode some stuff and put it up on t'internet.

EC Media Weekend

Spent most of the weekend on call, just in the door. Numerous bizarre EC related things happened. Saturday: In the tea room there's loads of crappy newspapers and magazines. Noticed an article from last sunday's "Star on Sunday" wherein it mentions EC and DK and EC's quoted as saying "...

Actually the Oasis gig in question was Pairc Ui Caoimh in Cork, went with a bunch of pals, lovely day, just before they went and did Knebworth. But you're right: that run of singles and b-sides was amazing. I remember buying "Whatever" and thinking the b-sides were better. Half The World A...

Well, I think there's always going to be individual moments for each of us when some endeavour, artistic or otherwise, will speak to us on a very profound level. I think that's true for all the music-loving, dvd-buying, gallery-going people on this board. But I think the point of the original post i...

No, because it's been done. There will never be another Beatles. They straddled a very important time when technology, morality and art just shifted, for better or for worse. But music doesn't mean much to people anymore; celebrity's been reduced to nothing and any bank manager or plumber can pursue...

Skinner is a big EC fan which is why EC did Fantasy Football League a few years back. And I saw Skinner do Oliver's Army on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes once. Jesus wept. I bet they'll show a clip of it to EC.

The only thing I heard off 'My Beauty' was his version of "I Can't Tell The Bottom From The Top" and it just sounded like he was having a breakdown while trying to sing. Kinda compelling.

I'm beginning to feel old at gigs. I remember being 14 when I went to my first EC gig, last year at the gig I didn't feel that young at all. Myself and my pal, fjp, now muse when we're pressed against some nasty crash barrier if it'll be the last time we bother, and maybe we should just sit down the...

After a longstanding CD drought at the weekend I bought... Neil Young - On The Beach ...for someone who wouldn't rate Neil Young in his top 10 acts, I own a lot of his records and have been to a couple of his gigs. This is really great. Tighter than many of Neil's recordings, great songs. Hot Hot He...

"Don't Stand Me Down" is a classic, my fave Dexy's record and one of my favourites of all time. It's full of Kev's little "discussions". There's a new version out from about a year ago with a bonus DVD which I should probably buy. I wish I had "My Beauty" but it seems t...

Straight in from work and watched it on video. Good show overall, Lenbnon doing Instant Karma (seen it 1000 times) Kirsty McColl, The Smiths and at the end Dexy's. Played the new song Manhood and I was blown away. I feel I now have to buy the Greatest Hits to have it. The song is like something off ...
