I would track down some early Aaron Neville compilations (60s - 70s). Hercules should be on some of them plus other AT / NN songs. Wrong Number is a good one. Some really moody stuff.

Side Note: >> 39 James Brown It's A Man's Man's Man's World This is a man's world, this is a man's world, but it would be nothing, nothing without a woman to care" >> The ending to this lyric is not correct. It should be "... without a woman or a girl". By the way there are a bunch of...

Got to love 'The Night Tripper'! Great talent! He also worships AT and PLH. I highly recommend Dr. John's book especially with EC linking up with AT. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0312131976/ref=nosim/104-5453675-0671160?n=283155 Really great stuff on NO and the LA music scene (he really hates th...

My order arrived. Anbody else? I really like these performances (NLS & WYS). EC and Attractions in a very laid back mood. I remember this being a really big deal at the time because EC hadn't been on TV in the US since SL and the bs that went down with BB.

>>Though this song is credited to' Naomi Neville', I've learnt that was Allen Toussaint's mother-in-law's name, a name Allen , apparently , used as a credit now and then.

Yes this is true. I also mentioned it a ways back in the thread.

He's not that good. I checked out some of his other works and they look rather ordinary and quite forced to me.

Wow! Caravaggio was an UNBELIEVABLE painter. I suggest you go and see one of his paintings (they are very rare) in person. The guy was in a class by himself.

Southern Night's Album!

Boy that is hard one. AT did so much as a producer and songwriter. He pretty much wrote the book on 1960s & 1970s NO popular music but he didn't produce that much in his own voice (he is all over the place on backing vocals of the people he wrote and produced). AT is also one of the all time gre...

The CTIO performance is about as good as gets IMHO. Also the Pink festival performance is super too. In both cases EC appears very happy about the results (especially CTIO!). Also perfer the Attraction's sound with BT's lead bass lines.
