Re: Getting stuff signed after show
Yup. I'm a lefty, but I never really considered learning left handed guitar. It's just so much extra work - all the tabs are written right handed, if you were going to get formal lessons, you'd most likely have a right handed teacher, etc.
Plus, left handed guitars look super dodgy.

Re: Getting stuff signed after show
Good point about making sure you have a marker for the signing. Elvis is left-handed and ball point pens just do not work for him if the signing surface is being held up etc. , as happened to me after , I think, the second Metrople Orchestra show in Amsterdam. Really? I had no idea. Is it normal fo...

Re: Covers of Elvis songs
I saw the Jesus of Cool at the Sydney Opera House a few weeks back. The final encore was a jaw dropping acoustic rendition of 'Alison' that brought the house down.

Re: The Sugarcanes
Thank you sir. It would be remiss of me not to point out that there is still 55 hours left, for anyone who wishes to contribute. To reiterate what I wrote on the film's website yesterday: With only three days of fundraising left to go, we’ve sold out of another supporter level – all Reason & Rhy...

It was only February 23rd when President Obama sang “Sweet Home Chicago” at a political fundraiser. This is the strongest evidence that Obama was born in America, by the way. (I consider that his birth certificate.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buTDezCHXfg&feature=player_embedded. On Tuesday ...

The Tenor heard on The Delivery Man is a hot little Gretsch number. He has another tenor, a Gibson, that can be heard playing the riff in an alternate tuning on The Spell That You Cast.

I'm now raising funds to travel back to the US in May with my producer, so we can produce the feature version of the film. For those that are wondering, there is a section on Jim's time with the Sugarcanes, which includes interviews with Jerry, Mike and Dennis, and an excerpt from the Live at the Ar...

Re: Other artists' songs that remind you of EC
Is it just me, or does Radiohead's "OK Computer" generally just sound and feel a lot like "Imperial Bedroom"? Songs like "No Surprises" and "Let Down" just remind me of Elvis, though I can't point exactly to why. Don't hear it myself, but I know Thom Yorke is...
